Founded by textile artist Maria Vister in 2023, studiovister is a space dedicated to creating unique, fluffy, and colorful artworks.

About Maria

Born in 1986 in Trollhättan, Maria Vister is a Stockholm-based textile artist specializing in tufting and mosaic—a technique that allows for endless play with color, texture, and material contrasts. With a background in fashion design, she is self-taught in textile art and has developed a distinctive style where unexpected material combinations take center stage.

For Maria, creativity is about joy and freedom. She draws inspiration from nature’s shifts, striking contrasts, and bold fashion. Her work aims to surprise and delight, blending humor, irony, and vibrant storytelling.

Despite her short time as a full-time artist, Maria has already exhibited her work internationally, including at museums in South Korea and Taiwan. In Stockholm, her pieces are represented at Naom Museum, and she has collaborated with companies such as Juni Technology and leading furniture brands. In 2024, her work gained significant attention at Greenhouse at Stockholm Furniture Fair, where she showcased textile-infused furniture. Her art is also displayed in Sturegallerian, where she is the first female artist to be featured in their dedicated creative showcase window.
